We were able to catch up, and we were able to reduce our delays to no delays in Montreal. We are delivering the next business day and even the same day (if you order before 10am). We still have a 4 business days delay outside Montreal (to be fulfilled)
Because of the ongoing situation, our store is opened in REDUCED OPENING HOURS:
MONDAY TO FRIDAY
10:00 am to 7:00 pm
11:00 am to 5:00 pm
We strongly encourage to stay home and be safe, our priority right now is ONLINE DELIVERIES, BE PATIENT.
Our customer service is taking longer than usual, so be patient. Our phone lines don't have waiting call options
Depending on the season, a package generally includes a fold-up backpack, wool socks, new underwear, a Tim Hortons $10 gift card, packet of Kleenex, bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, toothbrush protector, a sketchbook, a pen and pencil, pencil sharpener, an eraser, plastic utensils, napkins, homemade sandwiches, pasta, vegetable stir-fry, salad, celery and carrots, fruit, pastries, and chocolates.
These packages are especially unique for they contain a hard-covered sketchbook that can be used for writing and drawing. A place where a person can express and reflect and keep creative, hence the name 'Food for Thought for the Homeless.
As a health-related company, we’ve been involved in helping people in needs with different initiatives, always in the dark and never advertised as so. From this December, we will be actively involved in helping Verona with this marvelous initiative. Donate thru our website or directly on the gofund.me link. (IF DONATED THRU US, WE WILL MATCH THE DOLLAR VALUE YOU DONATE) See full list.
XMAS IS NOT FAR OFF! Which in this corner of the world means we are on the cusp of the next Food for Thought for the Homeless outing. This round we will be quadrupling, as well as doubling, what we have done in the past and aiming for 100 food/care packages! (See list below)
Normally 25 bags is what we try to tackle for each outing. It may not sound like a lot but I assure you, you break a sweat trying to put 25 bags, valued at $75 each (with close to 40 items in each one). Last Christmas we had quite an extensive team of people from all corners on board with us and we were able to put together 50 food/care packages. Again this might not sound like a lot in comparison to other initiatives, but it required bringing multiple coolers in (one fridge was not enough), cooking for days on end and hardly sleeping. It was all worth it though!
I believe with some tweaking and assistance from some impactful friends, we will be able to realize 100 food/care packages for Dec 20th, 2018.
Once again we will be working with Nature Santé. And AGBU Montreal (Armenian General Benevolence Union) will be helping out aswell. Nantha's Kitchen with Centrale culinaire will be assisting in expanding the kitchen space and getting some master hands behind the hot food and salades.
Here is the list for the general public. If there’s anything below that you would like to contribute just drop us a line. Grazie mille !
